Procurement Lead

You will be responsible for… 

• Analyzing market trends and conditions to identify potential supply sources and secure advantageous terms. 
• Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions to achieve optimal cost savings and quality. 
• Evaluating supplier performance and implementing improvement plans as necessary. 
• Conducting regular supplier audits to ensure compliance with company standards and requirements. 
• Negotiating contract terms, pricing, and service levels to secure the best possible outcomes for the company. 
• Identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities across the procurement process. 
• Continuously evaluating and improving procurement processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support overall business objectives. 
• Implementing and utilizing procurement software and tools to streamline operations. 
• Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of procurement professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. 
• Setting performance goals and conducting regular performance evaluations. 
• Working closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, operations, and product development teams, to ensure procurement activities support overall business objectives. 
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support new product launches and other strategic initiatives. 

 What we need from you: 

• Qualifications in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement or a related field are desirable.  
• Experience as a Contracts & Procurement Specialist on major mining or renewable energy projects or significant experience relevant to the role. 
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills. 
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities. 
• Proficiency in procurement software and tools such as SAP is highly desirable.
