Trades Assistant

You will be responsible for… 

• Supporting trades people, contractors and operators with general assistance 
• Operating of hand and power tools 
• Cleaning and preparing worksites/work areas 
• Read and interpret drawings to create cutting lists and subsequently cut the steel marking with ID No`s. 
• Perform secondary operations like mark and drill holes, slots, cut notches. 
• Work autonomously and as part of a team to meet deadlines 
• Perform assembly and dismantling operations, such as screwing or bolting 
• Transport tools, materials and work pieces to and from sites or workbenches 
• Operate all mobile plant and lifting equipment as and when requested (subject to licensing requirements) 
• Be able to assist other activities  
• Previous Experience on Solar / Wind Farms 

What we need from you: 

• at least 2-years' experience working in an electrical or mechanical environment as TA 
• Experience working within the power generation industry would be advantageous 
• Front of mind focus on Safety. 
• High level of self-management and accountability 
• Helpful nature and high work ethic 
• High attention to detail 
• Willing to be hands on 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Team Player who can meet deadlines  
• Forklift Licence 
• Construction White Card 
• Drivers Licence 
• High Risk Work License (as appropriate)
